Each lookup is constant time, so it stays one pass.
If memory is tight, a Bloom filter caps it but allows false positives.

Text goes to the model only when you ask, when auto-answer replies (if it's on), and once at the end of a session for its debrief (if that's on). Audio never leaves your Mac.

Can the other people on the call see AceCode?

AceCode never joins the call, so there is no bot or extra participant. With Pro, the overlay is hidden from most screen shares (best effort): some capture tools can still see it, and macOS shows its recording indicator while AceCode listens. Run the self-test in Settings with the app you will share from.

Does AceCode record my calls?

No. Audio is turned into text on your Mac and is never saved or uploaded. Transcripts, answers and session debriefs are stored on your Mac only.

Which call apps does it work with?

Any app that plays the call through your Mac. AceCode listens to your Mac's sound output and your microphone, not to one particular app. One exception: sound played through an external display's speakers can't be captured, so use headphones or the built-in speakers.

Do I need an account?

Not with your own API key. A free account gives you the included model, with 30 quick and 5 full answers a month, and is how you get Pro.

What is the difference between quick and full answers?

Quick answers come from a fast model, usually in about a second. Solve, Debug and Design also stream a full answer from a stronger model into the same card a few seconds later. On the included model, each kind has its own monthly allowance. With your own key, AceCode sets no limit.

Is it allowed in my interview?

That depends on the interview. Some companies and assessment platforms don't allow outside help. Read the rules you were given and follow them: how you use AceCode is up to you. Transcribing a call can also require the other participants' consent where you or they live, and AceCode asks you to confirm that before it starts listening.

Which languages does it understand?

Transcription works in English (US, UK, India and Australia), German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Japanese, Korean and Mandarin Chinese. Answers can be in any of 15 languages, chosen separately.

What does it need to run?

macOS 15 Sequoia or later, on a Mac with Apple silicon, and permission to use the microphone, system audio, screen recording and speech recognition. The welcome guide walks you through each one.
